Base jumping in Ghost Recon Breakpoint lets Nomad leap from high points and deploy a wingsuit or parachute to traverse Auroa's mountains and facilities quickly.
How to trigger it
From tall cliffs or peaks, your character can deploy a wingsuit or parachute to glide. Exact input mapping is TBD per platform.
Why use it
Base jumping is the fastest way to cross large vertical gaps and scout enemy camps from above. It pairs with the open-world traversal loop.
Tips
Combine jumps with recon drones for safe landings. Specific altitude thresholds are TBD.
Game background
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set on Auroa, a South Pacific archipelago run by drone-maker Skell Technology. You play Nomad, a Ghost spec-ops soldier stranded behind enemy lines. The Wolves — rogue former Ghosts led by Cole D. Walker — control the island.
The open world spans 11 biomes, from beaches and jungles to snow peaks and drone factories. Every mission rewards stealth, positioning and smart loadouts, whether you play solo or in 4-player co-op.
Platforms and release
The game launched October 4, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. The Steam version followed on January 23, 2023. Ubisoft ended major content updates on April 5, 2022 with Operation Motherland as the final storyline; servers remain online.
On Steam the game sits at roughly 74% positive after post-launch reworks including the Ghost Experience and Operation Motherland. Console platforms do not support user mods; PC does.
