Ghost Recon Breakpoint Raids — Golem Island Squad Tactics

An overview of Ghost Recon Breakpoint's endgame raids on Golem Island: what they are, squad size, and tactical basics.

The Golem Island raids are Breakpoint's endgame PvE challenge — a hidden training facility where the toughest enemies and squad mechanics are put to the test.

What is a raid?

  • Designed for a full 4-player squad (same platform; no crossplay).
  • Heavy on coordination: classes, drones, and synchronized pushes matter more than raw DPS.
  • Loot and progression rewards that cap out the endgame loop.

Squad composition

A balanced raid squad usually runs:

  • One Echelon or Panther for control / stealth entry.
  • One Engineer for the Recon Drone (scanning, vehicle hacking).
  • Two Assault or Sharpshooter for sustained damage.

Tactical basics

  1. Recon first. Let the Engineer's drone reveal enemy positions before pushing.
  2. Use cover and drones to break sightlines — the AI here is unforgiving.
  3. Revive safely. Downed teammates are vulnerable; clear the area before reviving.
  4. Communicate loads. Coordinate classes so you are not all squishy damage.

Raid availability and exact mechanics depend on the live build. Servers remain online even though major content updates ended April 5, 2022.
