Breakpoint drops you on Auroa, a South Pacific archipelago controlled by Skell Technology. You play Nomad, a stranded Ghost spec-ops soldier. The loop blends recon, stealth, firefights and gear management across 11 biomes.

Solo or 4-player co-op

Every mission supports solo play or online co-op with up to four players. Class builds and loadouts change how you approach encounters. Specific co-op mission tuning is TBD per update.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set on Auroa, a South Pacific archipelago run by drone-maker Skell Technology. You play Nomad, a Ghost spec-ops soldier stranded behind enemy lines. The Wolves — rogue former Ghosts led by Cole D. Walker — control the island.

The open world spans 11 biomes, from beaches and jungles to snow peaks and drone factories. Every mission rewards stealth, positioning and smart loadouts, whether you play solo or in 4-player co-op.

Platforms and release

The game launched October 4, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. The Steam version followed on January 23, 2023. Ubisoft ended major content updates on April 5, 2022 with Operation Motherland as the final storyline; servers remain online.
